• Describe the steps of the evidence-based research process and the importance of using them. In the initial stages of an EBP project, where do nurses in your specialty nursing informatics go to locate sources of information that help them to determine whether or not a practice problem is appropriate for an evidence-based practice change proposal? Include two specific sources of information in your discussion

• What are some of the major ethical issues in conducting research that impacts the advanced registered nurse? Discuss the role of the advanced registered nurse in advocating for patient safety and rights in conducting research.

Question 1

The steps in the evidence-based research process include the creation of knowledge, distillation, distribution, and implementation (DeNisco & Barker, 2016). Knowledge creation is where research is conducted and compiled in a way that increases its chances of finding its way into practice. This action can be done in the form of recommendations to other healthcare organizations with a view of incorporated the information into healthcare practice. It is essential that knowledge creation is guided by the end-users for research findings to be applied in care delivery. The process ought to consider factors such as feasibility and generalizability (Stevens, 2013).
