Multidimensional Anxiety Theory, Zone of Optimal Function, Catastrophe Model of Anxiety and Performance, Processing Efficiency Theory, and Reversal Theory are some of the theories and models currently used to describe the relationship between anxiety and performance. However, the influence of emotions on anxiety and performance needs to be analyzed further. In this assignment, you will explore the anxiety/emotion/performance relationship in order to write a paper that provides a theoretical perspective on the topic.

A statement describing the influence of anxiety and emotion on performance.
Theory that predicts that an increase in cognitive state anxiety (worry) has a negative effect on performance. The theory is based on the premise that state anxiety ismultidimensional with its two components (cognitive anxiety and somatic anxiety) influencing performance differently.
