As soon as that happens, people start trying to improve on the innovation, looking for ways to make it better or more efficient. Then those improvements become innovations themselves, and so forth.

This cycle continues indefinitely, because things are always changing—the world is never static or stagnant. So as soon as a new innovation is made, a new change has occurred and there’s room for improvement once again. This is how culture of continuous improvement drives innovation: because we’re always trying to do better than before.
